From Neuves-Maisons to Corre

The Vosges Canal – the former southern branch of the East Canal – runs alongside the Moselle from Toul to Corre, passing through Epinal, the gate to the Vosges surrounded by thick forests. In the vicinity of Fontenoy-le-château, we cross a very pretty region of rocky cliffs, at the foot of which runs the Coney, the little waterway dotted with numerous mills. Then, nearing the Saône, the woods give way to flower-strewn meadows.
