From Courdault to La Barbée

Just before reaching the Sèvre, the Autize divides into two arms, to form a sort of delta. To the west is the Jeune Autize. To the east, there is the canal running alongside the Vieille Autize. It is theoretically navigable over its entire length as far as the port of Courdault, but in practice, it is very often lacking in water and clogged with grasses.
