From Agde to Grau d'Agde

The Hérault, navigable from Bessan to the Mediterranean, is subject to the control of the round lock at Agde. Three pairs of gates manage access to the Canal du Midi and to the northern and southern branches of the river. The southern branch of the Hérault opens a gateway to the sea to the Canal du Midi.
