From Lyon to Port-Saint-Louis

This is the large north-south waterway that links Burgundy to the Mediterranean. Although channelled and domesticated, the Rhône requires good engines to be able to cope with currents and winds that are sometimes violent. The little away from the river, a few beautiful and very well-equipped marinas provide a welcome refuge. Then, at Arles, the river divides into two arms, which form a huge delta.
